George J Fontenette

Fontenette is a Louisiana native whose work as a composer/trumpeter/producer has permeated every facet of the entertainment industry for over two decades. With a body of work that is broad in scope and diversity, George has been both band leader and sideman performing with some of the most illustrious musicians and artists, in the studio and on Broadway. He has composed and produced music for over 300 national advertising campaigns, highlighting some of the most recognizable brands in the world. His musical journey has afforded him opportunities to write music for a number of feature films and television shows including Madea’s Family Reunion (2006), Blackout (2007), The First 48 (2005), 1000 Ways To Die (2014), Multiple Sarcasms (2009), and The Christmas Swap (2016). His Grammy nominated production expertise has been highly valued, as evidenced by his credits for work with Jay-Z, KRS-One, Regina Bell, Glenn Jones, Kenny Lattimore, Will Downing, Chaka Khan, Yolanda Adams, Youngstown and many more. As an educator, some of his former students include Grammy Award winning musicians and others whose work is featured in the award winning “Hamilton” (Broadway, 2018), Playing Hot (Broadway, 2019), Love & Hip-Hop (television), The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, and in many films.
